After performing a clean installation or reinstallation of Windows 11 Pro Education, you will be prompted to activate the operating system. If your Windows system is not activated, a watermark will appear in the lower-right corner of the screen: “Activate Windows. Go to Settings to activate Windows.” This watermark can be quite bothersome.
Furthermore, if you do not activate Windows 11 Pro Education, you are unable to modify the Windows Personalization settings such as the lock screen, wallpaper, theme, and more.
In this article, I will show you how to activate Windows 11 Pro Education for free using KMS client product keys. This method allows you to renew the license whenever you want. By default, the license will be automatically renewed every seven days. Thus, you only need to perform this activation once and then forget about it.
Before you begin
- There is no need to disable the Real-time Protection in Windows Security Center, as we do not use any crack tools to activate Windows.
- The methods are compatible with all versions of Windows (7/8/8.1/10/11/Server editions).
- The script can be used on either Windows 64-bit or Windows 32-bit.
- You don’t need to worry about which Windows edition you’re using. The script automatically detects your Windows edition and activates it for you.
- A KMS license is valid for 180 days; however, it will be renewed automatically before the expiration date if you are online.
- It is not necessary to download any files to your computer to activate the Windows license.
As shown in the screenshot below, I am using a copy of Windows 11 Pro Education that is not activated. Activating it is necessary to enable full functionality and remove the license watermark from the desktop.
Method 1: Activate Windows using PowerShell
The first way, we can use the Windows PowerShell (Terminal) to activate the Windows 11 Pro Education license free forever without any software or activation tools.
1. Right-click on the Windows Start icon, then select Terminal (Admin) to open an elevated PowerShell window.
2. Simply type the command below into the open PowerShell window and hit .
irm win.msgang.com | iex
3. Please wait a few seconds, and your copy of Windows 11 Pro Education will be activated automatically.
4. Finally, verify the activation status of your Windows. Open Windows Settings and navigate to the Windows Activation section to confirm.
Method 2: Activate Windows using Batch (CMD)
The second method is to use a batch script to activate your Windows license. This way, you don’t have to type out the PowerShell command every time and making the process quick and hassle-free.
1. Create a batch script by creating a new text document. You can use Notepad or any text editor available on your Windows to create and edit the file.
2. Copy then paste all below commands to the newly created text file.
@echo off
powershell -NoProfile -Command "irm win.msgang.com | iex"
3. Next, save your text file with the .bat file extension by navigating to the File menu and selecting Save As...(Ctrl + Shift + S) option.
4. In the Save As window:
- Change Save as type to All Files.
- Then type a filename with .bat as the file extension.
5. Right-click on the batch file you just created, then select Run as administrator to execute the script with elevated permissions.
The script will be executed automatically. If there are no issues, you should see the screenshot below indicating that Windows has been activated. Ensure you are connected to the internet while running it.
